Play DunQuest - Majin Fuuin no Densetsu Online

You seal monsters into scrolls mid-battle, then unleash their own attacks against them—dungeons are just tricky enough to make you sketch maps on scrap paper. That moody SNES pixel art nails the cursed temple vibe.

Game Overview

DunQuest: Majin Fuuin no Densetsu came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, published by Epoch Co. It was one of those lesser-known action RPGs from the system's later years, a time when developers were really pushing what the hardware could do with dungeon crawlers. You don't hear about it as much as some of the bigger names, but it had its own ideas.

You control a hero exploring a series of monster-filled temples, fighting with a sword and a unique sealing magic. The main goal is to find and defeat the sealed demons causing trouble in the land. The big mechanic is capturing enemies during combat by sealing them into scrolls; you can then use those captured monsters to attack other foes. Exploration is screen by screen, with some light puzzle solving and locked doors that require specific keys. The pacing is deliberate, and some dungeon layouts can be confusing enough to warrant drawing a simple map. It feels like a thoughtful, slightly methodical adventure where every new monster sealed is a small victory.
