Play Earth Attack Online

You’re a little ship pinned at the bottom of the screen, jamming the joystick left and right while blocky aliens inch closer—miss a few, and suddenly bombs start raining down. That’s all it is, and somehow that’s enough.

Game Overview

Earth Attack is one of those old-school Atari 2600 shooters that somehow makes blipping sounds and blocky aliens feel tense. You’re a tiny ship at the bottom of the screen, dodging left and right while these descending invaders creep closer—and if you don’t pick them off fast enough, they’ll start dropping bombs. It’s basically Space Invaders but with even fewer pixels.

Honestly, the first time I played it, I thought it was just another knockoff. But there’s something weirdly satisfying about how simple it is. No power-ups, no fancy patterns—just you, a joystick, and the growing panic as the aliens speed up. The Zellers label on the cartridge makes it feel like a weird little relic, too. If you’ve got a soft spot for games where the difficulty spikes after level 3, this one’s worth a few minutes of nostalgia.
