Game Overview

Horror Soft released Elvira 2: The Jaws of Cerberus in 1992, a point-and-click adventure for MS-DOS that fit right in with the era's detailed, atmospheric games. It was a direct sequel, continuing the campy horror theme established by its predecessor, and it didn't shy away from a mix of genuine scares and dark humor.

You control a custom hero, navigating screen by screen through a cursed mansion and the depths of hell, solving inventory-based puzzles and engaging in tactical, turn-based combat against various monsters. The main goal is to gather the pieces of a powerful artifact to stop Cerberus, a task that requires careful exploration and resource management. The pacing is deliberate, with a high difficulty stemming from obscure puzzles and frequent, often grisly, deaths. Each failure is punctuated by Elvira's sarcastic commentary, which somehow makes getting dismembered a little more bearable. It feels like being trapped in a macabre cartoon where every wrong move has a punchline.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
