Game Overview

Enemy Lines was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it didn't carry a specific release number in that series. Developed by Synthetic Dimensions and published by Merit Software, it arrived during a time when strategy games were experimenting with real-time elements and small-unit tactics. It fits comfortably among other thoughtful, low-budget titles that asked players to plan more than they shot.

You control a small squad of soldiers tasked with infiltrating enemy territory to complete objectives like destroying radar installations or rescuing prisoners. Movement is screen by screen, with each new area presenting hidden threats and patrol routes. The key mechanics involve positioning your men silently, using cover to avoid detection, and timing attacks to eliminate guards without raising an alarm. The pacing is deliberate, almost tense, because being spotted usually means a quick and overwhelming firefight. It feels like a careful, nerve-wracking puzzle where every decision carries weight.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
