Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time came out on the Nintendo DS in 2009, developed and published by Square Enix. A key mechanic is carrying a magical chalice that creates a protective bubble; you have to stay within its aura or your health slowly drains. The pacing is brisk, with short, manageable dungeons, though some boss fights can be surprisingly tough. It feels like a cooperative puzzle box where every action, from casting a spell to pushing a block, has a tangible effect on the world.
