Final Fantasy I & II Advance (Hyperion) (J) is one of those GBA ports that feels both nostalgic and slightly rough around the edges. The first game drops you straight into a world where you pick four generic classes, then slowly watch them evolve as you grind through random encounters. It's simple, almost barebones compared to later RPGs, but there's something satisfying about how straightforward it is.
The second game tries something different with its progression system, where using skills makes them stronger. It's neat in theory, but I remember my party being weirdly unbalanced because I kept spamming one attack.
