Play Garou Densetsu Special (Japan) Online

Dodging between planes to land Terry’s Burn Knuckle feels way smoother now, and finally getting to play as Krauser’s ridiculous uppercut makes all those boss fights worth it. That stage with the rowdy crowd pelting you with trash never gets old.

Game Overview

Garou Densetsu Special (or Fatal Fury Special if you're not playing the Japanese version) is basically Fatal Fury 2 but way better. They took everything that worked in FF2—the two-plane fighting, the satisfying special moves—and just cranked it up. Now you can play as the bosses, which is awesome because who didn't want to wreck people with Wolfgang Krauser?

The controls feel tighter than before, and the new characters add some fun matchups. I spent way too long trying to figure out how to counter Tung Fu Rue's weird stretchy limbs. The backgrounds still have that classic SNES charm too, especially the stage where the crowd throws stuff at you mid-fight. If you liked FF2 at all, this is the version you should be playing.
