Game Overview

General Budda's Labyrinth was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though I don't recall the developer's name. It was one of those early 90s dungeon crawlers that felt both simple and punishing, a product of its time when games didn't hold your hand. You were just dropped into a maze with a clear goal and left to figure things out.

You control a lone adventurer navigating a grid-based labyrinth, screen by screen. The main objective is to find the exit, but the path is blocked by traps, locked doors, and occasional monsters. Signature mechanics include avoiding instant-death spike pits, pushing blocks to solve environmental puzzles, and collecting keys to progress. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with a high difficulty that punishes haste. It feels tense and isolating, like every step could be your last.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
