Game Overview

Grand Prix Master is one of those MS-DOS racers that somehow nails the feel of real racing despite the chunky pixels. You start with a quick practice lap—just you, a tiny car, and a track that looks simple until you hit the first turn too fast and end up in the grass. The AI drivers don’t mess around either; they’ll squeeze past you the second you brake too early.

What I love about it is how stripped-down it is. No fancy upgrades, no career mode—just pick a track and race. The controls are tight (once you get used to them), and nailing a perfect drift around Monaco’s hairpin feels stupidly satisfying. It’s got that old-school difficulty where you’ll restart a race five times just to shave half a second off your lap.

If you’ve got a soft spot for early ‘90s racing games, this one’s a time capsule that still holds up surprisingly well.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
