Guilty came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Psygnosis Limited. It was a time when CD-ROMs were becoming more common, and games started to include more voice acting and cinematic elements. This one stood out for its dual protagonist setup and its focus on narrative consequences.

You control either a thief or a cop, both trapped on a space station, and you switch between them to solve environmental puzzles. Your main goal is to escape, but how you interact with objects changes based on which character you're playing; the thief picks locks and disables security, while the cop breaks down doors and accesses restricted terminals. Mistakes you make early on can affect later scenarios, adding a layer of tension to every decision. The pacing is deliberate, with a difficulty that rewards careful observation over quick reflexes. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
