Game Overview

Harald Hardtooth in The Fight of the Clean Teeth is a quirky MS-DOS game from the early 1990s, released as part of the 0 MS-DOS Classic Games collection. It was developed by a small team whose name has faded over time, but the game stands as a peculiar artifact from an era when experimental concepts often found a home on home computers. The premise is as strange as it sounds: you play as a Viking obsessed with oral health, battling through levels filled with confectionery-themed enemies and dental decay.

You control Harald, a burly warrior armed with an oversized toothbrush that functions as both a weapon and a cleaning tool. Your goal is to clear each screen of sticky foes like Gummy Worms and Cavity Creeps by scrubbing them away, while also collecting minty power-ups and avoiding sugary hazards. The game progresses screen by screen, with each area presenting new enemy types and environmental obstacles, such as rivers of soda or platforms made of hard candy. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding precise movements and timely attacks. It feels absurd and oddly gratifying to treat dental hygiene like a Viking conquest.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
