Game Overview

Inspector Gadget on MS-DOS came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Azeroth. It was one of those licensed platformers that tried to capture the spirit of the cartoon, back when adapting TV shows into games was a common but tricky business. The graphics and sound tried to mimic the show's style within the limits of the hardware, offering a familiar but sometimes clunky experience for kids and fans at the time.

You control Inspector Gadget, moving him through side-scrolling levels filled with obstacles and enemies. The main goal is to rescue Penny and Brain from Dr. Claw by navigating each stage, avoiding hazards like pits and enemies, and occasionally using Gadget's extendable limbs to cross gaps or reach higher platforms. The game relies on screen-by-screen exploration, with some levels requiring careful timing to progress. It's not an easy game; the controls can feel unresponsive, and the level design is often unforgiving. Playing it feels like wrestling with the character's clumsiness while chasing that brief satisfaction of finally getting past a tough section.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
