Jurassic Park on the Super Nintendo came out in 1993, developed by Ocean Software. It was one of those licensed games that tried something a little different on the system, mixing perspectives in a way that felt ambitious for the time, even if it wasn't always smooth.

You play as Dr. Alan Grant, and your goal is to restore power to the park's systems and escape the island. The game switches between an overhead view for exploring the island and a first-person perspective for navigating the visitor center and other buildings. You collect keycards to access new areas, avoid or stun dinosaurs with your limited supply of weapons, and solve simple environmental puzzles. It's a difficult game, with limited saves and enemies that can quickly overwhelm you. Navigating the claustrophobic first-person sections while listening for nearby dinosaurs creates a genuine sense of tension.
