Game Overview

Remember Karate on the Atari 2600? It’s that old-school two-player brawler where you’re basically flailing a stick figure around trying to land punches and kicks. The controls are simple—joystick moves, button attacks—but good luck figuring out which combo actually does what at first. I always ended up spamming moves until something connected.

You fight in two-minute rounds, racking up points for hits (some moves score higher than others, though good luck keeping track). Beat enough opponents, and you’ll eventually earn a black belt—or just lose spectacularly to the computer on the harder difficulty. It’s janky, it’s basic, but there’s something weirdly fun about it if you’ve got a friend to yell at while playing. Just don’t expect deep combat mechanics.
