Game Overview

If you're into classic fighting games, King of Fighters '95 on Game Boy is a surprisingly solid port. Yeah, the sprites are tiny and the controls take some getting used to, but it's wild they crammed this much of the arcade experience into a handheld. You pick three fighters—I always went with Terry, Iori, and Kyo because their moves felt the most natural with the Game Boy's buttons.

The big deal here is team customization, which was new at the time. You can mix and match characters from Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting, which leads to some weirdly fun matchups. Just don't expect the same speed as the arcade version—it's a bit slower, but still packs a punch once you adjust. The music's tinny but weirdly catchy after a while.

It's one of those games where you'll lose a few rounds figuring out the timing, then suddenly everything clicks and you're pulling off combos between classes. Perfect for quick fights when you're stuck somewhere without a proper arcade cabinet.
