You play as Shinbu, a swordsman exiled from his clan after stumbling onto some forbidden techniques—classic martial arts drama, right? The world of Ouka feels alive, split into four regions inspired by Chinese mythology, each with its own vibe and challenges.

Combat’s where it really shines, though. It’s not your typical button-mashing action—you’ll collect scrolls and tiles to customize your fighting style, arranging them in sequences to unlock brutal combos. At first, I just slapped tiles wherever, but once you figure out how to chain attacks with elemental chi abilities, battles get way more satisfying. Nothing like clearing a crowd with a well-timed fire blast.
