Legend Of Pokemon, The (Hack) is one of those weird NES bootlegs that tries to cram Pokémon into an action-RPG mold. You move your character in platformer-style jumps while battling random encounters that feel more like a stripped-down Final Fantasy than anything from the actual Pokémon games.

The sprites are rough—your "Pokémon" are just slightly edited versions of generic NES enemies, and the overworld looks like someone hastily redrew a Dragon Warrior map. The music loops endlessly, and the translation is barely functional, but there's something oddly charming about how janky it all is.
