Game Overview

Maze Craze on the Atari 2600 is one of those games that looks stupidly simple until you actually play it. You and a friend (or the computer) get dumped into this randomly generated maze, and suddenly it's a mad scramble to find the exit first. The controls are just the joystick—no fancy buttons—but somehow that makes the panic even funnier when you both hit dead ends.

The mazes change every round, so you can't just memorize paths. And yeah, the graphics are just colored blocks and the sound effects are basically beeps, but that's part of the charm. Half the time you're laughing at how ridiculous it is when you both keep running into walls. It's the kind of game where five minutes turns into an hour because you keep saying "one more round."

If you've got an Atari or an emulator, this one's still weirdly fun to pull out when friends are over. Just don't blame me when someone throws a controller.
