Maze Galious 2 is a Japan-only release for the Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Konami. It came out in the late 80s, a time when many developers were experimenting with maze and action hybrids on the platform. The game is a sequel to the arcade title Maze of Galious, though it stands on its own for NES players who never encountered the original.

You control a knight who explores a large, interconnected fortress room by room. Your main goal is to find and defeat the four bosses hidden in the maze, which opens the path to the final enemy. You use a sword for close combat and can find a bow for ranged attacks, switching between them as situations demand. The level design forces a lot of backtracking; you often hit a switch in one area that opens a door somewhere else, so memorizing the map is essential. Enemies are fast and numerous, keeping the pressure high as you dodge projectiles and environmental traps. It feels tense and deliberate, demanding both quick reflexes and careful route planning.
