MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat came out in 1995 for MS-DOS, published by Activision. It was one of those games that really pushed what PCs could do at the time, with detailed 3D graphics and a sense of scale that felt new. You stepped into a future of interplanetary conflict, joining either the Clan Jade Falcon or Clan Wolf in their bitter campaign.

You control a BattleMech, a towering war machine loaded with lasers, missiles, and autocannons. Your main goal is to complete missions like destroying enemy bases or defending allies, all while managing your mech's heat levels and armor integrity.
