Signature mechanics include screen by screen platforming with precise jumps, collecting and switching between special weapons to exploit enemy weaknesses, and using Rush the robotic dog and Beat the support bird for traversal and combat assistance. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty, while challenging, feels more balanced than some earlier entries. It feels satisfying to master each stage and turn the bosses' own weapons against them.
