Megaman 6 came out on the NES in 1993, developed and published by Capcom. It was one of the later releases for the system, arriving when the 16-bit era was already in full swing, but it still delivered a solid, polished experience that felt right at home on the 8-bit hardware.

You control Megaman, running and jumping through themed stages, shooting your arm cannon at an assortment of robotic enemies. Your goal is to defeat eight Robot Masters, take their special weapons, and eventually confront the sinister Dr. Wily. The game introduces the Rush Adaptors, which function as jetpack legs or power armor, significantly altering your mobility and attack options during certain sections. Level navigation is screen by screen, with careful platforming and enemy placement demanding precision. The pacing is brisk, and while the difficulty is manageable for series veterans, some later stages still provide a stiff challenge. It feels responsive and satisfying to play, especially when you master the new movement abilities and use stolen weapons to exploit boss weaknesses.
