Pepper’s Adventure in Time is this weird, charming little MS-DOS point-and-click where you play as a tomboy named Pepper chasing her dog through time after her shady uncle’s machine zaps them both back to 1764 Philadelphia. Except history’s gone sideways—Benjamin Franklin’s a full-on hippie, spouting peace and love while colonial townsfolk mix with 60s counterculture vibes. It shouldn’t work, but it does.

You’ll poke around cobblestone streets, solving puzzles to nudge history back on track (and find that dog, obviously). The dialogue’s genuinely funny, and there’s this weirdly educational twist—after each chapter, you get quizzed on actual history facts via a "Truth" button. Like, yeah, you just helped Ben Franklin invent the kite experiment while he’s high on flower power, but now you’re learning the real version. It’s a trip.

Definitely one of those games where the absurd premise somehow makes it more memorable. Also, Lockjaw’s a very good boy.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
