Game Overview

Remember when games didn’t hold your hand? Return to Doom drops you right into that old-school MS-DOS nightmare—no tutorials, no regenerating health, just you, a shotgun, and a maze of dimly lit corridors packed with demons. The first time I played, I got lost almost immediately, but that’s part of the charm. The pixelated gore, that eerie soundtrack humming in the background, the way imps leap at you from the shadows—it’s all here, but with some new twists.

They’ve added a few surprises, like secret rooms that actually feel worth finding and enemies that don’t just stand there waiting to be shot. If you’ve played the original, you’ll recognize the chaos, but even then, some of these levels had me muttering, “Oh, come on” in the best way possible. And yeah, the controls take a second to adjust to if you’re used to modern shooters, but once you get into the rhythm of strafing and blasting, it’s weirdly satisfying.

Perfect for when you just want to turn your brain off and chainsaw something. Just don’t forget to save often—trust me on that.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
