Game Overview

I remember picking up Rolling Ronny 2: The Return of Rolling Ronny back in 1995, part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection from General Admission Software. It was one of those mid-90s platformers that felt right at home on a beige desktop tower, with chunky pixel art and a soundtrack that looped endlessly. The game didn't try to reinvent the wheel; it just dropped you into a world of traps and puzzles, typical of the era's shareware scene.

You control Ronny, a round character who rolls and bounces through maze-like levels filled with spikes, moving platforms, and enemies. The main goal is to navigate each screen, avoiding hazards while collecting items to unlock the exit. Signature mechanics include using momentum to bounce off walls and objects, timing jumps to clear gaps, and sometimes activating switches to alter the stage layout. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can be punishing; one mistimed roll sends you back to the start. Playing it feels like a tense, physics-driven puzzle where every movement counts.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
