Skunny: Desert Raid came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Copysoft. It was a time when platformers were everywhere, and this one fit right in with its straightforward, no-frills approach. You didn't need a fancy setup to run it; just a DOS prompt and a keyboard were enough to jump into its dusty, enemy-filled world.

You control Skunny, a small skunk armed with a rapid-fire gun, moving screen by screen through desert-themed levels. Your goal is simple: shoot everything that moves, avoid enemy attacks, and collect power-ups that change your weapon or boost your score. The game throws waves of scorpions, snakes, and other critters at you, often requiring quick reflexes to dodge and return fire. The pacing is relentless, with enemies swarming in from all sides, and the difficulty ramps up noticeably after the first few stages. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
