Play Slater & Charlie Go Camping Online

You click around hand-drawn camping scenes to trigger goofy reactions—collapsing tents, dramatic sneezes, and a narrator deadpanning about slightly warmer fires. It’s like poking a storybook that occasionally burps back at you.

Game Overview

Slater & Charlie Go Camping came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Sierra On-Line. It was a simple, low-key title from that era, the kind of thing you might load up when you wanted something light and silly instead of a sprawling adventure or a serious challenge.

You control a cursor to explore a series of static, illustrated camping scenes, clicking on objects and characters to trigger humorous animations and voice lines. The main objective is just to discover all the gags, like making the tent collapse, startling a bear, or hearing the narrator dryly comment on your pointless actions. There's no real danger or failure state; the pacing is slow and the difficulty is nonexistent. It feels like flipping through an interactive cartoon where your only job is to find out what makes the scene laugh.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
