I picked Tails first, thinking flying would make things easier, but the game still forces you to stay grounded most of the time. The physics are tight, though—rolling down slopes and bouncing off springs just feels right. The Chaos Emerald special stages are brutal, a weird mix of precision and luck.

What stands out is how well it translates Sonic's speed to the small screen. Even with the GBA's blurry motion, you can still weave through enemies without slowing down. Sonic Advance (J) nails that classic Sonic flow, even if the later zones get a little too chaotic.
