Game Overview

Space Quest II: Vohaul's Revenge came out in 1987 from Sierra On-Line, one of their many MS-DOS adventure games from that era. It picks up right after the first game, with Roger Wilco now working as a janitor on a space station before being kidnapped by his old enemy, Sludge Vohaul. The game fits right in with other Sierra titles of the time, relying on parser commands and a sense of humor that could be both clever and punishing.

You control Roger Wilco through a series of static screens, typing commands to interact with objects and characters. Your main goal is to escape from Vohaul's asteroid base and stop his plan to clone an army of insurance salesmen. Signature mechanics include inventory puzzles, plenty of situational humor, and the constant threat of instant death from wrong choices. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with a high difficulty level that demands careful observation and saving often. It feels like walking a tightrope between absurd comedy and genuine frustration.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
