Game Overview

Okay, so this is the Game Boy Color version of Spider-Man—not the PS1 one with Stan Lee’s voiceover (which, let’s be real, was half the charm). It’s still got that classic comic book vibe though, just pixelated and way more portable.

You swing through New York, punch thugs, and run into pretty much every villain you’d expect: Green Goblin, Venom, Doc Ock… the usual suspects. The controls take a second to get used to—wall-crawling feels a little stiff at first—but once you nail the rhythm, it’s weirdly satisfying to thwip around tiny skyscrapers.

It’s short, and some of the boss fights are janky in that old-school way where you just spam attacks until something works. But if you’re into retro superhero games, it’s a solid time killer. Just don’t expect the same flair as the console versions.
