Game Overview

Stunt Island came out in 1992 from The Assembly Line, a game that felt like it was pushing what you could do on a home computer. It wasn't just about flying; it was about building scenes, a kind of digital backlot where you were the pilot and the director. In an era of straightforward shooters and platformers, this was something else entirely, a creative sandbox disguised as a flight sim.

You control a variety of aircraft, from nimble biplanes to helicopters, to perform specific stunts or film your own action sequences. The main objective is to complete pre-made stunt missions or, more compellingly, to use the built-in editor to choreograph crashes, explosions, and daring maneuvers, then piece the footage together with cuts and camera angles. The physics are unpredictable, which makes every landing tense and every collision a spectacle. The pacing is entirely your own, dictated by how elaborate you want your movie to be. It feels like having a toy box full of planes and pyrotechnics, where the goal is to create the most spectacular mess possible.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
