Game Overview

Sub Fury came out in 1999 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a time when many players were still navigating the quirks of DOS-based gameplay. I don't recall the developer offhand, but it fit right in with the era's straightforward, action-focused titles that didn't rely on flashy graphics to deliver a challenge.

You pilot a small submarine through maze-like underwater passages, hunting enemy vessels and avoiding mines. Your main goal is to clear each stage by destroying all hostiles while managing limited oxygen and torpedo supplies. The game uses screen-by-screen exploration, forcing you to methodically sweep areas without getting cornered. Combat is tense; you line up shots carefully because missed torpedoes waste precious ammo. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can feel punishing if you rush. It feels satisfying to outmaneuver opponents in tight spaces and survive on dwindling resources.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
