Game Overview

Super Mario Bros 2 (PC10) is a weird one—you're not stomping goombas this time. Instead, you're pulling vegetables out of the ground and chucking them at enemies, which feels oddly satisfying once you get the timing down. The dreamy Subcon world has this strange, floaty vibe compared to other Mario games.

At first, the character differences threw me off—Luigi jumps like he's on the moon, Toad moves like a tank, and Peach can just hover. It takes a while to figure out who works best for each level. The bosses are creative, though, especially that final fight with Wart where you're frantically tossing turnips into his mouth.

It's not what you'd expect from a Mario game, but Super Mario Bros 2 (PC10) has its own charm once you adjust to the rhythm of it.
