Play Super Professional Baseball II (Japan) Online

Fielders dive like they're in an action movie, and those batter wind-ups are pure 90s charm—this is baseball with personality, not just stats. You'll grin when your shortstop backflips for a catch he had no business making.

Game Overview

Super Professional Baseball II is one of those Japan-only SNES baseball games that never made it overseas, which is a shame because it's actually pretty solid. Jaleco took the engine from the first Super Bases Loaded and tweaked it—fielding feels smoother, and the pitching mechanics have just enough depth without being overwhelming.

First thing you'll notice is how crisp the sprites are compared to other baseball games of the era. The batters have these exaggerated wind-ups, and the outfielders dive for catches in a way that looks way more dramatic than it needs to be. I spent way too long just watching the little victory animations after home runs.

It's not a perfect sim—some of the AI decisions are questionable, and the roster is fictional since it never got MLB licensing—but if you're into 16-bit baseball, this one's a hidden gem. The fact that it never left Japan explains why it's not as well-known as Bases Loaded or Ken Griffey Jr. games.
