Syndicate came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Bullfrog Productions. It was a time when strategy games were starting to blend with action, and this one stood out for its cold, corporate dystopia setting. You didn't play the hero; you played the part of a faceless corporation pulling strings from the shadows.

You control a squad of four cybernetically enhanced agents, directing them through isometric city streets to complete missions like assassinations, kidnappings, or sabotage. The main goal is to expand your corporation's influence by taking over rival territories, one city at a time. Key mechanics include using the Persuadertron to brainwash civilians and enemies into temporary allies, researching upgrades like better armor and cyborg modifications, and managing your team's weapons and equipment between missions. The pacing is deliberate, sometimes brutal, with permadeath for your agents raising the stakes. It feels calculating and ruthless, like you're running a business where murder is just another line item.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
