Game Overview

Oh man, The Geekwad - Games of the Galaxy is like someone took every weird MS-DOS game from the '90s and crammed them into one gloriously bizarre package. You play as this awkward space nerd bouncing between planets, each with its own ridiculous mini-game—one minute you're solving text adventures with aliens who speak in modem noises, the next you're piloting a ship through an asteroid field that looks like it was drawn in MS Paint.

The whole thing oozes that specific kind of retro charm where you can practically hear the floppy disk drive grinding away. Some of the puzzles make zero sense until you embrace the nonsense (why is there a level where you have to debug an alien's code to fix their toaster?), but that's part of the fun. The synth soundtrack alone is worth the trip—it's like someone fed a Commodore 64 a bunch of sci-fi novels and let it compose the theme song.

Definitely not for everyone, but if you miss the days when games were allowed to be this unhinged, you'll feel right at home. Just don't expect any hand-holding—half the challenge is figuring out what the heck you're even supposed to be doing.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
