Game Overview

If you played the original The Magic Candle, this sequel feels familiar but sharper—the VGA upgrade makes everything pop, especially the towns and dungeons. You still assemble a party of adventurers (good luck picking just four—I always agonized over who to bring), but now the world feels a bit more alive when you’re wandering around.

The whole "Four and Forty" mystery hooks you early—some weird prophecy, missing people, the usual fantasy chaos. Combat’s still grid-based and tactical, though I remember certain spells being way more useful this time around. Just don’t expect hand-holding; you’ll be scribbling notes about clues and secret doors like it’s 1991.

It’s very much a sequel—if you liked the first one, you’ll dig this. If not… well, it won’t change your mind.
