You control either Spider-Man or Venom, fighting through waves of symbiote-infected enemies across city streets and industrial zones. The main goal is to stop Carnage and his symbiote army from spreading chaos. Key mechanics include using web attacks to stun or grab enemies from a distance, and teaming up for powerful combination moves if playing with a partner. The pacing is fast, with enemies swarming constantly, and the difficulty can spike sharply in later stages. It feels frantic and messy in a way that fits the theme of a city overrun by symbiotes.
