Game Overview

Voodoo Island is one of those weird little MS-DOS games that sticks with you—mostly because it’s equal parts charming and unsettling. You wake up shipwrecked on this pixelated island where the palm trees sway a little too ominously, and half the villagers give you side-eye like they know something you don’t. The puzzles? Classic 90s adventure game logic. One minute you’re bartering with a shaman for a chicken foot, the next you’re trying not to get cursed by a grinning totem pole.

It’s janky in that old-school way where the controls make you sigh sometimes, but the atmosphere totally makes up for it. The soundtrack’s all eerie synths and distant drums, and the writing’s got this dry humor that catches you off guard. If you’ve ever played a point-and-click and thought, "This could use more voodoo dolls and way more existential dread," you’ll dig it. Just save often—the island has a mean sense of humor.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
