Wizardry: Crusaders of the Dark Savant is the seventh entry in the classic dungeon-crawling Wizardry series and a direct sequel to Bane of the Cosmic Forge. The story follows your party as they pursue the stolen Cosmic Forge, a powerful artifact that leads to the Astral Dominae—an object of immense power hidden on the planet Guardia. The world is a melting pot of factions, including the militaristic Umpani and the enigmatic T’Rang, all vying for control. Your choices, including importing a party from the previous game, shape your alliances and starting point, but betrayals and shifting loyalties keep the narrative dynamic.

Building on its predecessor’s systems, Crusaders of the Dark Savant retains the series’ signature first-person exploration, turn-based combat, and deep character customization with races, classes, and skill progression. New additions like swimming, climbing, and diplomacy emphasize the game’s expanded scope, which now includes open forests, towns, and sprawling dungeons. NPCs with their own agendas and an automap (enabled by the mapping skill) add layers of strategy and immersion. Blending fantasy with sci-fi elements, the game offers a rich, reactive world where player agency and adaptability are key to uncovering its secrets.
