Same Prince of Persia you love, but now every jump feels like threading a needle—miss by a hair and those spikes don’t forgive. Jaffar’s still the worst, but the floors collapse faster.

Game Overview

4D Prince of Persia came out in 1994 for MS-DOS, part of the Classic Games series that re-released older titles. It was developed by Broderbund, the same studio behind the original, and it arrived at a time when DOS gaming was still dominant, though newer platforms were beginning to emerge. This version was essentially a repackaging of the 1989 classic, offering a new generation of players a chance to experience its tense, methodical platforming.

You control the Prince, navigating through a deadly palace to rescue the Princess from the villain Jaffar. The game plays out screen by screen, with an emphasis on careful timing for jumps, avoiding traps like spikes and falling floors, and occasional sword fights with guards. The main objective is to reach the end within a strict time limit, which adds constant pressure. It's a difficult game that demands precision; one mistimed move often means starting the room over. Playing it feels like solving a dangerous, physical puzzle where every action has weight.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
