Game Overview

Armored Fist 2 came out in 1997 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed and published by NovaLogic, Inc. It was a solid tank simulation for its time, fitting right in with the era's growing interest in military sims that ran on home computers without demanding too much from the hardware.

You take command of an M1A1 Abrams tank, switching between the roles of driver, gunner, and commander to complete missions across varied terrain. Your main objective is to engage enemy armor and support units while navigating through hostile environments. Key mechanics include managing your tank’s subsystems, like thermal imaging and ammunition selection, and coordinating with AI-controlled wingmen. The pacing is deliberate, often tense, as you scan for threats and line up shots under pressure. It feels immersive and demanding, especially when you pull off a complex engagement without taking a hit.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
