You pick one of the Battletoads or the Double Dragon brothers, then fight through side-scrolling stages against the Dark Queen's army. The main goal is to stop her from taking over the world, level by level. Signature mechanics include transforming your fists into giant hammers or wrecking balls during combos, and navigating obstacle-heavy sections like the turbo tunnel. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike sharply, especially in later stages. It feels chaotic and physical, with every hit having a satisfying weight behind it.
