Battletoads (U) is one of those NES games that starts off as a standard beat-em-up before throwing you into wild, unpredictable levels. You'll be punching rats one minute, then suddenly racing down a tunnel on a speeder bike dodging walls the next.

The difficulty spikes hard—especially in the infamous turbo tunnel—but there's something satisfying about finally nailing a section after dozens of tries. The mix of gameplay styles keeps it fresh, though some of the later stages feel borderline unfair.

Visually, it's got that classic NES charm with big, expressive sprites and some surprisingly smooth animations for the time. The music sticks in your head too, especially the main theme. Just don't expect to beat Battletoads (U) in one sitting unless you're a masochist.
