Castlevania - Halloween 98 (Hack) is a romhack that gives the NES classic a full Halloween makeover—pumpkins, bats, and a general spooky vibe everywhere. The first thing you notice is how the familiar stages are twisted into something darker, with remixed enemy placements that keep you guessing.

It still feels like Castlevania, but the atmosphere is thicker, like playing through a haunted house version of the original. Some of the jumps feel meaner, and the candle placements are just different enough to throw off muscle memory. Not sure if that’s intentional or just side effects of the hack.
