Game Overview

Man, Cosmic Crusader takes me back. It’s one of those MS-DOS shooters that somehow flew under the radar—bright neon ships, chunky pixel explosions, and a soundtrack that sounds like someone plugged a keyboard into a jet engine. You’re just this tiny fighter against swarms of aliens, weaving through asteroid fields while lasers zip past. The first few waves lull you into thinking "Oh, this is easy," and then suddenly the screen’s packed with enemies and you’re mashing the fire button like your life depends on it (which, in-game, it kinda does).

Boss fights are where it really shines—huge, screen-dominating beasts that force you to memorize patterns while dodging a ridiculous amount of bullets. It’s got that perfect ’90s balance: simple to pick up, tough to master, and weirdly addictive when you’re chasing just one more run. If you’ve got a soft spot for games where the only story is "shoot everything," this one’s a time capsule worth cracking open.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
