Dangerous Dave’s Risky Rescue (often called Dangerous Dave 3) is a 1993 DOS platformer developed by Gamer’s Edge and published by Softdisk. As the sequel to Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion, it continues the adventures of the titular hero, this time on a mission to rescue his brother Delbert from the villainous Dr. Nemesis—a recurring antagonist in Softdisk’s Catacomb series. Notably, it’s the first game in the series not developed by John Romero, who had left Softdisk with other key figures to found id Software.

The game retains the series’ signature platforming action, challenging players with precise jumps, enemy encounters, and environmental hazards. While not as groundbreaking as its predecessors, it remains a solid entry in the Dangerous Dave franchise, followed by the similarly styled Dave Goes Nutz!.
