Dragon Ball - Dragon Mystery (Hack) is an NES romhack that tries to adapt the early Dragon Ball arcs into a side-scrolling action game. You control Goku as he punches through waves of enemies, jumps between platforms, and occasionally fights familiar bosses.

The controls feel stiff, like most NES-era platformers, and the hit detection can be frustrating—sometimes your punches just don’t connect when they should. The sprites are rough but recognizable if you know the source material.

It’s neat seeing the Red Ribbon Army and other classic villains in 8-bit form, but the level design is pretty basic. Dragon Ball - Dragon Mystery (Hack) is more of a curiosity for hardcore fans than a must-play.
