Dragon Dance came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, developed and published by Konami. You control a young dragon rider who explores a large world screen by screen, fighting monsters with a sword or a bow. Your main goal is to collect the scattered pieces of the Dragon Orb to restore peace to the land. The game mixes overhead exploration with side-view platforming sections, and you can call on your dragon companion for special attacks or to access new areas. The pacing is fairly brisk, though some later areas demand careful timing and backtracking. It feels like a condensed adventure, built for short sessions but with enough depth to keep you engaged.
