Guide Bloo as you rescue imaginary friends, switch characters to use their skills, solve puzzles, and explore the mansion while battling quirky aliens in this 2007 Nintendo DS adventure.
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: Imagination Invaders came out for the Nintendo DS in 2007, published by Crave Entertainment. It was one of those licensed games that popped up a lot in the mid-2000s, aimed squarely at younger players and fans of the cartoon. You don't see many people talk about it now, but it was a solid little title for what it was trying to do.
You control Bloo, and your main goal is to rescue the other imaginary friends who have been captured by these weird, blocky aliens. The gameplay is built around switching between characters on the touch screen to use their special abilities; you stretch Wilt's arms to cross gaps, use Eduardo to scare enemies, and have Bloo pull off various stunts. You move from room to room in the mansion, solving simple puzzles and platforming to progress. The pacing is fairly straightforward, and it's not a difficult game, which makes it accessible. It honestly feels like you're causing a bit of controlled chaos right inside an episode of the show.
